Solar education is now available in 200 schools across the UK

On 18 July 2024, we signed a licence agreement with Solar Options for School Ltd. This means that 200 schools in the UK can now use our learning content. In addition, ten more schools in the UK will each receive one of our PV learning games.

Mike Marqués, Managing Director of solar education, is delighted about the co-operation with Solar for Schools: ‘We are very happy about the appreciation that Solar for Schools has shown us. It's really nice to see that our teaching materials are now also getting English schoolchildren interested in the topic of solar energy.’ Robert Schrimpff, Managing Director of Solar for Schools, considers the licence agreement to be a useful addition to the company's existing services and products: ‘We are delighted that we have gained learning content with the lessons and the PV learning game, which expands our efforts for the environment.’

The collaboration between solar education and Solar Options for Schools began several years ago. When solar education was founded in 2021, it was still part of the Solar Options for Schools Group. To emphasise the non-profit nature of solar education, it was transformed into an independent non-profit company in 2023.

The solar education team is currently working on translating the lessons for use in English.
